A specially designed 3D printed housing is used for weight reduction of the flight module. It is monitoring the concentration of nitrogen oxide compounds (NO X ) like NO 2 with a high sensitivity down to 1 ppb. A chemical detection process (chemiluminescence) including an optimized Luminol solution is used. MiCRO NO X combines a measurement rate of up to 5 Hz with a precise GPS time and location mark. The measurement includes also the surrounding temperature, pressure and humidity values. The calibration, maintenance and measurement file processing is done by a separate portable ground station. This allows the removal of all unnecessary parts from the measurement system to achieve a flight module as light
